If you're trying to find a ride to a contra dance, or if you are looking for people to split gas money with, you have several options.

First, you can e-mail us at dance@ContraDanceCarolina.org . We try to maintain a list of people interested in carpooling, and we keep this list on display at all of the dances.

Option two is our very own Dance Carpool Bulletin Board that we have set up with Google Groups. You can view these listings without having a Google account. In order to post your own messages, however, you will need a free Google account. For privacy, the group is not listed in the Google directory. When we send out our reminders before each dance, we will include a link to the carpool group so that other dancers can see who is interested in carpooling.

Obviously, anytime that you share your car with somebody or arrange out-of-town crash space you should exercise basic common sense in picking you team with. We like to think of the contra dance community as being one big family, but every family has a few oddballs.
